Leather Care Guide

Our products are made with real full grain leather and to keep your items looking great, we recommend cleaning and conditioning the leather once in a while.  Frequency depends on your use.  With every day wear you will likely need to do it every 3 months. With light use you can get away with every 4-6 months.

To condition and clean or leather items we recommend Bickmore BICK4 which can be found on Amazon.com as well as other vendors.  Just do an online search for BICK4 and you will see the black bottle pictured on the above banner. They have tiny bottles and larger ones.  If you have leather furniture and other leather items to do we recommend the 16oz bottle. The small 8oz bottle runs around $10 and the 16oz runs around $17 on Amazon.

Bick4 leather conditioner accomplishes four important jobs. It cleans, conditions, polishes, and acts as a stain repellent, making it ideal for keeping leather soft while preventing it from drying and cracking.  It is effective on all smooth, finished leathers, including some exotics (not snake). Bick4 is a wax-free product that will not seal leather pores and affect breathability. Bick4 leaves no oily residue and is safe to use on boots, shoes, belts, wallets, purses, jackets, furniture, car leather seats, horse saddles and more.

Bickmore also sells BICK1 which is a cleaner if you have a hard labor job and really get your belt dirty.  For most customers Bick4 is all you would need.

Some customers also like to use Neatsfoot or Mink oil on their belts.  This is normally okay but can also darken the leather. These can also make belts oily so we recommend Bick4 instead.

WITH ANY CLEANER AND CONDITIONER, TRY IT ON A SMALL HIDDEN SPOT FIRST BEFORE DOING THE ENTIRE ITEM!
