Most belts are in stock and ship within 1-2 business days. We strive to ship all orders in a timely manner. Exotic belts and wallets are custom made to order and normally take a week to make. Shipping times can vary depending on our work load.
Our belts are made by us in the USA. We have three leather shops in Indiana USA and our corporate office and return center is located in Canton Ohio. These are production facilities and are not open to the public. We do not have a retail walk in store.
Please visit our shipping page for details. We offer free shipping for order of $50 or more (within the USA) and also have upgraded shipping options at checkout. Canada shipping is available for a flat shipping cost.
We currently do not ship to APO addresses because of too many lost packages. We recommend shipping to a family member who sends you care packages and they can include the order in their next care package to you. Thanks for your service to our great country.
Please visit our order lookup page to pull up your order details using your email and order number. Orders are made to order and normally take 1-2 weeks to arrive. You will receive an email shipping confirmation once your order ships out with tracking.
Sorry we do not offer engraving unless you purchase in large quantities of 250 or more items. We normally do this for companies and sports teams that want their logo on the belts. You may be able to get a local leather shop or shoe shop to engrave our items for you but this could void the warranty and return policy.
We do not custom make one off belts or wallets from your design unless its a large wholesale order of 500 or more items. There are huge costs involved in creating new designs and getting molds and dies made. We offer many styles of belts and wallets on our site so we may have something similar to yours.
Yes. Most of the belts are made with Chicago screws so you can change out the buckle and use your own. View details on the product page to see how the buckle is attached and if the buckle is removable. You would take our buckle off and put yours on when you receive the belt. We are unable to have buckles mailed to us to keep up with demand. Please note that your buckle may require a certain style or thickness of a belt. We are unable to guarantee our belt will fit your buckle since we make the belt for our hardware. Please call us if you need further help.
Sorry we no longer make odd size belts. Most of our belts are available in even sizes from 32 to 50 inches. Larger sizes of 52" to 60" are available in the "large size belts" category. If you have a current Bullhide Belt that is an odd size, you can order up or down an inch depending on what hole you fall into your belt.
The hole options are listed for each product in the description. Most belts are in stock so we are unable to alter the hole patterns. Some belt such as the exotics have a hole option listed at checkout. Most dress belts have 5 holes and the heavy duty 1/4" thick belts have 9 holes.
If you happen to lose a screw or want to change out your buckle, we sell extra belt hardware at cost on our website. Please visit our extra belt hardware page.
Chicago screws can work loose in time with the vibration of wearing the belt. We torque them down tight so this is rare but can happen. We put in our shipping confirmation email to check the screws once in a while or you can glue them together with a small drop of Loctite glue or metal Super Glue. We do not glue them so customer can remove the buckle to polish it or switch it out.
We offer many different widths. We offer 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 1-3/4" widths. Most of the belts listed on our site will give you a width option to chose before you order. Some belts only come in one width and that will be listed in the description of the belt. We do not offer odd width belts such as 1-1/8". Normally odd widths are foreign made belts from the UK. You would want to round up if using your own buckle for an odd width belt. You may sort and order by width on the "sort belts by:" category above.
We offer belts in sizes 32 to 60. The sizes for a particular belt can vary so please check the belt description to see which sizes are available in the style belt you are looking at. Most belts are available in 32-50. All belts 52" and above can be found under the category "Big Size Belts" under the shop belts category.
We offer many different high quality buckles on our website. When you chose a belt to order, most belts have multiple buckle choices listed on the product page. The brass buckles listed are solid brass and the stainless roller and stainless Paul Revere buckles are solid stainless. We also have a chrome dress buckle which is chrome over solid brass. The description of the belt should list the details of the buckles. Our buckles are very high quality compared to store bought belts.
Sorry we do not carry reversible belts. We have looked into this and tested many reversible buckles. Most reversible buckles swivel on a pin which can break easily. We only carry buckles and belts that will last a long time since our belts are backed with a warranty. Reversible belts are also made out of two very thin low grade pieces of leather which we do not want to carry and put our brand name on. We only sell high quality leather products that will last.
We use a tool to torque down the screws on the belt so they do not work loose and fall off with the vibrations of wearing the belt. Normally you can just use a flat head screwdriver to unscrew the screws and change out the buckle. If that doesn't work, wrap a piece of sticky tape around your finger (sticky out) to hold the smooth side of the screw. This should give you enough leverage to break the two pieces loose. If you take off the buckle we recommend checking the screws for tightness once in a while or put a small drop of Loctite or SuperGlue on them to keep them permanent.
We offer a basket weave embossed belt that gives you the look of a braided belt but the durability of one solid piece of leather. The basket weave pattern is embossed (pressed) into the leather with a machine and is permanent. We do not offer braided belts because those fall apart too easily and we have to warranty all of our items.

If you have a valid coupon code, you can enter the code during checkout on the page you enter your shipping address. Do not click the PayPal Express or Applepay icons on the shopping cart because they will skip over this page. Once you enter your coupon, press apply to take the discount off. We offer a standard 30 day return policy from the date ordered. Please keep all items in new re-sellable condition to be able to return them. Visit our return policy page for complete details and return directions.

The main difference is the thickness and stiffness of the leather. Bullhide (1/4") Max Thickness is one solid piece of 14+ ounce leather. It has stiffer qualities and is a great casual, work, or gun belt. Bullhide (3/16") leather is one solid piece of 10-12 ounce leather and is more of a casual or dress thickness belt.
If you want a heavy duty thicker belt you would go with the 1/4" thick but if not go with the 3/16" thick. Our exotics belt thicknesses are listed in the product details and is not an option like on the bullhide belts. Please note that thickness of leather is approximate since these are natural hides and can vary slightly from hide to hide.
This is our number one asked question. We have a simple and effective formula to calculate belt size. Take your pants waist size on the tag of your pants (jeans are best) and add 2 inches to that number to get your belt size. For example if you wear a 38 pants waist you would order a 40" belt size. This is a standard sizing method used by most belt companies. Please visit our belt sizing page for more details and directions. If you want to double check that number you can measure your current belt by laying it flat and measure it from where the leather attaches to the buckle (the fold) to the hole that you use.
Please use our sizing directions and do not go by a size stamped on your belt. Belt size is not the total length of the belt.
NOTE: We changed our sizing directions on Feb 13, 2018 so belts purchased before that date will have a different size stamped on the belt. Please follow the new sizing to measure your belt to calculate the belt size needed.
To keep up with demand and turnaround times we just make new belts and do not make alterations of old belts or belts that are not ours. Some customers who lose weight take their belts to a local shoe repair or leather shop and they can cut off the buckle end and resize the belt smaller from the buckle by four or more inches. If the belt has stitching it is harder to resize and some styles of belts like the ranger or money belts can not be resized.
